Basically proves my point I guess. PSP crop too has generally always recenters the image. But it never rotated the image instead of the crop tool until 2018, and that has been one of the major complaints about that tool since then. Yet a Corel person responds to say that they are looking at the recentering issue (which has always existed), but fails to respond to whether or not they are going to fix the issue of rotating the image rather than the crop tool. It seems they are "supposedly" looking at something that has never been a real issue and existed for a long time, but simply want to ignore issues that started with the crop tool in 2018 and have multitudinous complaints. Typical Corel attitude, I'm afraid.ehume wrote:Well, I am using PSP 2018, not 2019. I can confirm that this recentering behavior exists with the Crop tool.
PSPx9 also recenters the image and resizes it too. But it does not rotate the image; it rotates the Crop tool.
PSPx8 32-bit recenters the image and allows the Crop tool to rotate (not the image).
PSPx7 recenters the image and allows the Crop tool to rotate (not the image).
I have PSP x6, x4 and 11, but they are not installed at present. I could install them but the job should be something that a Corel coder does.
It would be nice to hear one of them respond to these actual posts that deal with actual - and long standing - complaints. But I doubt that we'd get an actual, serious response that they will actually fix these issues - if we get any response at all. And no response, IMHO, is likely better than the boilerplate response that "we're looking into the issue." What I want to know is if they are "looking into it" with the goal being to fix it to fit what we have requested!
