PSP2018 Crop tool

Has anyone found a solution to the Crop Tool not disengaging ? When I select Crop, save the result. When I select another pix it shows in the work space as much smaller than pix #1 with the crop tool lines present. I have to deselect the crop tool, x out of that pix and bring in another pix #3! #3 comes in at normal size. All is well until I need the Crop tool again.
I have contacted Corel but none of their answers has fixed the problem.
Does PSP 2019 have Crop Tool problems?

Instead of closing pic 2, select another tool , roll your mouse wheel to zoom to what you want and then reselect the crop tool.
There have been other posts about the disastrous crop tool but Corel do not seem ready to admit it has been a problem and fix it.

I have been corresponding with Corel about my problem with the crop tool for about 10 days now. The tech. has advised me today that the problem that I am having is a part of PSP2018 and cannot be fixed!
