Folk I miss read their upgrade policy. I read it as 'the previous version' rather than 'a previous version'.

Ads for the new version is out. I am still learning 2018 so I don't really want to upgrade yet.

Is there any disadvantages to me in skipping upgrades? How many versions back does Corel typically support?

Quite the Nikon you have.

PSPx6 and PSPx4 have active Help pages at corel.com; PSP XI does not. Further, I got no ad when I closed PSP XI. However, on closing PSP x4, x6 and x9 I got ads:

PSPx4

PSPx6
PSPx9 close ad.jpg
PSPx9

BTW -- although the upgrade price is $29, the full version price is still $99.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.
