apparent lack of animation after export

I have applied animation to a jpeg image in Photo Mirage and exported it to Video Studio with the aim of making a DVD. When I play it in in VS there is hardly any movement compared to the preview in PM.I got round this by doing a live screen capture and watching it in .wmv. What am I doing wrong here to get this result Here are the settings used in Photo Mirage.
File type mp4 Image size 720x480 (3:2) Animation loop duration 5.5 Frame rate 25
Quality medium File size 1.72

I have used your settings as much as posible and have seen no difference in timing in Video Studio X9.
You have not mentioned what version of Videostudio you are using.
