Scorefitter Music duration changes
Hi. I am having problems with Scorefitter music. I've completed a couple of Project successfully but the one I am trying to do at the moment is having problems. I keep putting a Scorefitter music track into the timeline and extending it so it goes for approximately 13 seconds. But it keeps shortening by itself. I've tried different mysic and even tried a new Project. The same problem keeps repeating. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Not all scores can be lengthen for ever, if you need more of the same you should locate the score wave file you use and mixed it twice or more.

Hi Annie
welcome to the forums
Which music are you selecting.
We are aware that some combinations can be set longer than others, as far as I know.
But 13 seconds seems a little short to be the maximum allowed for any music
A quick check and I was able to add 1 hour, but that was the limit.
The clips are added to the Music Track, make sure there is sufficient space for your clips.

And if you added transitions *after* adding the music, then it may appear that the music has shortened itself, but it may in fact be the video which is shorter than the music.

Re: Scorefitter Music duration changes
I don't think this is not the problem as I have only used the chosen Scorefitter music in 1 video. I've also tried changing it to a different piece and the same problem happens. Even if I just try to play them as a preview - they ALL only play for about 1 or 2 seconds. Its weird

Re: Scorefitter Music duration changes
Are you sure you mean ScoreFitter Music, these tracks cannot be lengthened, they are normal music tracks
Auto Music (Corels version of SmartSound) can be changed to a max length of 60 minutes, unable to offer any explanation of why you cannot play them correctly, most of the tracks have a standard length of about 14/15 seconds, which can be shortened/lengthened as required. Have you tried reinstalling the program, that may correct the issue, Trevor or Ken may have some further suggestions for you to try

Re: Scorefitter Music duration changes
Hi
We may be all getting a little confused here
The ScoreFitter samples in the library are similar / same as the Auto Music, from the tool bar.
From the Score Fitter library try using the first clip Ambient – Drama, Drag it to the timeline
Then double click to open Options Panel, that shows the Auto Music panel, although the tool bar icon is not highlighted.
Now switching to the Auto Music does not work all the time, depends on what I have selected on the timelines, not noticed that before. Hmmm
but i can resize the audio clip by dragging the ends like any Auto Music.

Re: Scorefitter Music duration changes
Because I do not use ScorerFitter or Auto Music (always use SmartSound) did not realize that ScoreFitter Tracks could be adjusted, learn something new about the program all the time.
However, opening the Options Panel achieves nothing, it's unusable and I believe is a bug, that option should not be available.
If you perform the same sequence in VSX10, you will find that the Options Panel is not available

Re: Scorefitter Music duration changes
Hi Robert
Yes I agree that there are things wrong in the way the options panel opens, depends on our mouse click order? other features also have problems with that panel. all part of the UI issues.
But I tried X10 and added a clip from the library, double click and the Auto Music panel opened.
One thing to note is the 2018 AutoMusic icon is highlighted in blue when selected, but not always, that does not happen using X10 no highlight
We keep finding these anomalies….that’s my new word for a bug

Re: Scorefitter Music duration changes
My issue Trevor, is that opening the options panel from a ScoreFitter track in the timeline, is a waste of time and is not necessary, the only usable option is to change the length of the track, which can be done in the timeline anyway.
Only by using the Auto Music icon is the Options Panel fully functional
