I am finding EXIF "Standard" and "MakerNote" a bit of a mystery. When uploading a JPG to Flickr, I've noticed that most of the time, lens data isn't transferred.
I've checked the original file from the camera using Canon's DDP 4 and all the data is available. I've also checked the original file using EXIF Data Viewer and all the data is there. All of the data seems to be there in PSP 2018 Manager-Info, but when I go to Edit, Image Info, EXIF MakerNote data is gone even with Makernote box checked. So, no lens data.
A file processed by PSP 2018 and saved as a JPG seems to delete EXIF "MakerNote" information. Yes, the JPG is saved as Standard with the save EXIF checked.
But, PSP can read the lens information in the original AND the processed saved JPG file. Also, Flickr can sometimes read the lens information from the processed and saved JPG file. Canon's DDP 4 and EXIF Data Viewer can not read lens info from the processed JPG. So confusing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: EXIF Lens Information
Just an update: I loaded a PSP jpg and a PSP png file into a text reader and verified that the LENS data is in each file, but it appears that Flickr and other programs including PaintShop Pro 2018 Edit/Image/Image Information can not read the LENS data. (It can be read on the PSP 2018 Manage screen.
I also upload a compressed tif to Flickr knowing that they don't support tif, but surprise...the LENS info did show...but the picture was terribly distorted.
Anyway, still playing.

Re: EXIF Lens Information
Just another update... I believe I have found the inconsistency and why Exif.Photo.LensModel, Exif.Photo.CameraOwnerName and some additional Metadata info isn't seen by Flickr or other image processing programs.
I have always used the Selection Tool to crop my images. After reviewing my files, I noticed that images that were not cropped retained all the Metadata info.
As a shot-in-the-dark test, I started using the Crop Tool instead of the Selection Tool. Using this tool saves the Metadata info, and the Lens data is now visible.
There is still an issue with PSP Edit/Image/Image Information/EXIF Information and Corel should look at expanding this menu to read all Metadata including XMP data. I can see that the XMP data is being saved in the PSP JPG file.
I'll be doing some additional testing while I get a feel for the Crop Tool.

Re: EXIF Lens Information
Thanks for your updates. I'm sure someone knowledgeable will tell us why saved Selection crops do not contain that info.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Re: EXIF Lens Information
I just completed 2 additional tests using the Crop Tool, and Metadata Lens info is still being recognized by Flickr from the JPG file.
