Trying to install VideoSudio 2018

Hi, I am new to the forum.

I bought VideoStudio 2018 yesterday and since then I am trying to install the program.

The installer downloads but then it tries to download the main program and files and it get stuck after only 2 files.

Is there anybody who experienced the same and has a solution.

Sorry for our delay in replying to you….

It is difficult to say why your downloads terminate early.
Could it be your connection dropping out or your pc going to sleep.?

I would download each pack one at a time, a bit of a pain having to run the Stub / web installer each time.

First choose the Main Program – deselect the other options
Select another Download location, an empty folder.
Now choose Download only
When complete you may have to close and open the web installer again

I think we have to choose the Main program. Then choose the next option to download, I assume a Contents folder.
Download Only again
Repeat until you have the complete package.

Having said that I assume you have now completed the downloads and installed the program

Had issue in the past, where the installer would crash/disappear while downloading.

Had to just keep trying until it got everything. Installation was fine.

Might be a good idea to "Download Only" and then install after you get all of the files downloaded (archive your downloaded directory structure, and the installer will only download the newest Service Packs in the future).

Thank you for all the advises. But it still does not download. It keeps stuck directly at the start at 0kb download speed. I disabled the firewall, defender, malware bytes and I have no proxy. Still no luck. All other internet traffic is at normal high speed. I am lost on this one.

Can you try another Stub / Web installer
just to confuse us, there are several names to this file,
Please go to https://www.videostudiopro.com/en/free-trials/
Download the trial will give you the Installer file at approx. 10Mb

Create a new folder to hold your files, add the installer file (10Mb ) to that folder
Run that installer will allow you to insert your Serial number
Chose the new folder as the Download location
Select only the Main Program
Choose Download only
Does that download?
If not then I would suspect your pc environment
What internet browser are you using, maybe changing the default browser, clutching at straws.

Do you have access to another PC to test the download?

Thank you so much for all the help. The solution was to go to a friend with a laptop. Download it there and move the files to my PC at home. Finally I managed to install the software. Pffff. Now learning my way.

Just a quick comment, sometimes in the past when I've had an issue downloading a file to a computer I've later discovered some nasty on the computer.

I would run a few extra scans to see if you can find something.
