Is it possible to create non-linear paths or zoom in effects in VS2018 - preferably with curves.
For Example: Zoom-In starts fast and ends slow and smooth - without inserting "manual" keyframes?
Maybe a function in VS2019?

The Pan&Zoom Function has an "Ease In" Option but no "Ease Out" Option.
I like to have more Options.
Maybe an Admin should move this question to the wishlist for 2019.

If you put a path on the clip - from the path library - then open 'Customise motion' you can modify the path if you wish and save it as a custom path for future projects - then your image will follow the path - as for zooming - two extra key frames and apply the necessary opacity at each and the job is done - no big deal

Thanks for your reply, Brian.
Using (customize) path for Motion is clear but how could I use a path for zooming - can you give more details or upload an example?

if you open the 'Customise Motion' panel you will see that as well as motion and path you can set 'opacity' (transparent to full opaque) as well as size (zoom to any size ) while following the motion path - see image below
Also made a short video - made in less than 5 minutes - showing fading - zoom is just as easy - watch here - https://youtu.be/AiuS5EXjwTY
Do not be afraid to experiment -- if you get in a mess delete and start again - your original clips are not in Videostudio

Re: Using curves for non-linear motion/ pan&zoom
Brian - Thanks for this tutorial - helps me a lot.
Meanwhile I found another way to change the linear speed during zooming by using the NewBlue FX VII (Auto-PAN).
