Server busy
Since I updated VideoStudio 2018 Ultimate on my laptop (yes, I do have a separate license for that), VideoStudio will not start - a message box pops up with the title "Server Busy". The message says "The action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose "Switch to" to activate the busy program and correct the problem". There are no other programs running! I have tried rebooting to no avail. I do not have this problem on my desktop PC.

Re: Server busy
Hi Phil
And welcome to the forums
If the desktop is working ok then I would suspect the Corel Server is also ok
I would think the problem would be with your laptop.
Would your firewall or virus programs be blocking Video Studio.
Turn off your internet connection then try running VS
It should / may run although no welcome screen as that needs the internet.

Re: Server busy
If it happens again, one thing you may want to check if you have had it running, closed it and it won't open again, is to go to Task Manager > Background Processes. I have occasionally found that when you close one instance of VS (or PSP) it does not close totally, and a background process version of it is still running. VS will not reopen while that instance is still there. So go to Background Processes and find an entry saying "Corel Video Studio". Then you simply right click and choose End Task. VS should then reopen.
