Hi
I have now tried the samples provided by Asik using X10
Rendered same as first clip produced a video file using the original data rate of 105600kbps
2018 I am part way through a re-install and running 21.0.0.68
Asiks sample rendered the same using 105600Kbps
Joseph sample using 2018 version 21.0.0.68 rendered the same using 105600Kbps
I then used one of the default templates using 40000kbps, rendered successfully using the correct data rate.
It would appear that one of the 2018 Service packs has affected the rendering function of X10 and 2018.
I can confirm that I also had issues using X10, since re-installing and running 2018 V 21.0.0.68 both programs appear to be performing correctly.??

For me, X10 operates correctly. So it would seem -- for me at least -- that the service pack in question only affected 2018. And from reading your experiments, Trevor, I would have thought the same thing happened with you too: X10 doing the right thing, but 2018 misbehaving. Or are you comparing to an earlier version of X10 which did the wrong thing?lata wrote:It would appear that one of the 2018 Service packs has affected the rendering function of X10 and 2018.

Re: VS 2018 crashes with high res mp4
Hi Ken
I was almost certain 99% that the data rate issue also affected X10, I am talking recently
Yesterday I decided to re-install both X10 and 2018
Installed X10 fully patched had no problems
Then installed 2018, no patches, no problems.
I guess I should now install the latest patch for 2018 to see if it does affect X10
Maybe later, i have a job to do, besides its getting late in NZ

Re: VS 2018 crashes with high res mp4
Well I have installed the latest patch and now running 2018 V 21.3.0.141 64 bit
Rendering the 4k Mpeg4 video files now retain the original data rate
Using the MPEG-4 AVC 4K (3840 x 2160, 60p, 65Mbps) template also retains the 65Mb data rate.
For me things seem to be fixed
Post updated
Apologies --- I seem to be getting confused with H264 and h265 renders
H265 still renders incorrectly for X10 and 2018

Re: VS 2018 crashes with high res mp4
I've rendered VSPs with 100s of 4K MP4 video clips from both Panasonic ZS100 and ZS70 and never encountered a program crash period. Are your Panasonic FZ2500 4K MP4 files are different than those coming off the Panasonic ZS100 and ZS70 (see image below)? tletterpepegota wrote:I enter a clip from my Panasonic FZ 2500 camera, at 3840x2160, and the program crashed immediately.
Any ideas?

Re: VS 2018 crashes with high res mp4
I played it on another Windows 7 computer without issue. The computer is the problem.
