VS 2018 - Multi audio tracks from a MKV file.

Post by PoohBear »

I searched but could not find the answer, is it still not possible to load a mkv file with multiple audio tacks in it? (as in spilt them out so you can play them all back at the same time)..

There's plenty of other video software that has been doing this for years, you would have thought by now it is possible, in fact I was told by customer support it was but they could not say how when pushed.

Thank you..

Hi PoohBear

As far as I know that is not possible using Video Studio, I think this was raised a while ago, If I find the actual post I will update.

If Corel Support says its possible then I would “push” then again till they give a definite answer.

Hey folks,
I'm running VS2021 and this still seems to be a problem. Has anyone heard if this is likely to be addressed anytime soon?

Importing MKV files into VS2018 and VS2021 is hit and miss even with Haali Matroska Splitter installed. Even if you can import MKV files, the split audio option extracts MKV audio into a single audio stream on the voice track.

We're five years in and this is still a problem. Why isn't Corel doing anything to rectify this issue? I shouldn't have to handbrake every single file before putting it into Video Studio.

We do not work for Corel, just volunteers running the forums to help others with their problems.
Corel Support rarely visits these forums so will not see this topic.
Has anyone contacted Corel Support since PoohBear in 2018?

The more that people do report this and complain then the better chance of this being addressed.
