Re: PicToPainting with Paint Shop pro 2019
Your processor should be just fine. There are people using tensorflow 1.5 on much older hardware.
Without getting too technical the support forums I found indicate that after Tensorflow 1.5 (the version you're using here) the library started to limit itself to processors that supported certain types of command flags. This is why Pic-To-Painting's use of 1.7 fails on some computers. Older processors just don't have them. But tensorflow 1.5 still supports these older processors.
So that's what this fix is. Using an older version of tensorflow to support older hardware.

Ok, well I don't get it then. I followed the instructions very well, and my pc was built by a seasoned technician who built it pretty high end, as he told me, 10 years ago. I don't have any issues other than the occasional software corruption issues that just comes with the territory. I am sure I didn't miss anything. Is there anything I can send for a verification of this download and copy to tenserflow-old?

Just to jump in... If you know how to create a file listing, I/we can compare with what we have that does work? It might shortcut other investigations. Always good to rule out relatively simple causes of failure. I can point you to a free application to create such a text file. We point to where, you press a button and it creates a file that you attach for use to view. If LeviFiction feels this is not in question, scratch the idea.

Step 1: D/L TreeSize Free: https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free. See if you understand how to use it, to expand a folder fully. Then Save as a TXT file.RCPhotos wrote:Sounds good to me and thank you. What is the app?
Step 2: Go to C:\Program Files\Pic-To-Painting then expand ALL lower level folders. Expand is selected from top right button.
Step 3: Save the entire expanded folder structure - to see every lower level folder and file. I want to see file details, size and date.
Step 4. Upload the directory by selecting Upload Attachment.
So, I would analyze what you have against my working TensorFlow Ver 1.5 that I ALWAYS credit LeviFiction for making it happen plus the slider fix.
I can help with any issue you might encounter to accomplish these tasks but I will not be available until later this evening. WHERE are timezone wise?
Good Luck,
Ira

RC...
You are almost there - Ensure you selected EXPAND "Full Expand" and that you see complete file names. Drag the vertical column divider at right side of the Name column as needed to see complete file names. Then FILE, EXPORT to a PDF file. If the forum rejects your including it, I'll come up with a method.

Re: PicToPainting with Paint Shop pro 2019
That's not necessary I can already see the problem. He has the tensorflow folder inside the other tensorflow folder. I thought it was weird when you said you copied the tensorflow folder TO tensorflow-old. The point of this is to replace the tensorflow folder. That's why we renamed the old one tensorflow-old. We then copy the tensorflow folder from the zip file into the lib folder so that it's sitting side by side with the tensorflow-old. You don't want to put it into the tensorflow old folder because Pic-To-Painting won't know to look in there.

LOVE IT. Yes, LeviFiction. What you did NEED was to see the screenshot that I got him to show. Yes, you saw the specific problem AFTER the screenshot. I knew it would help. I respect that you zeroed in w/o he going further. I love A B comparisons as a first shot to resolve problems.
Levi - I would like to present something about PctTo Painting that might be warrant a new post but just to tell you I notice that you might be able to "finetune." I've always noticed that when I return from PicToPrinting back to PSP Editor, the contrast level, for lack of a better term, of the image is not as strong as the slider setting I had set. This is true no matter the art I select as the basis. Any ideas? Would you like to repost as new item? Is not critical but obvious.
Tnx,
Ira

Re: PicToPainting with Paint Shop pro 2019
Do you mean when you have cancelled Pic2Painting and reverted, in PSP, to the unchanged photo? Or do you mean the image which appears in PSP once you have successfully applied Pic2Painting?iraisok wrote:I've always noticed that when I return from PicToPrinting back to PSP Editor, the contrast level, for lack of a better term, of the image is not as strong as the slider setting I had set. I certainly never notice any difference in my first situation. As for the second, I'm not sure how you can tell there is less contrast than what you set. Sure, the resulting image may not look as bright and sharp as the original, but with the variety of painting styles, I can't see how that can be avoided... And of course, you can use things like Brightness/Contrast controls within PSP itself to change the contrast etc once the image has been sent back by Pic2Painting.
But maybe Levi can suggest something...

Re: PicToPainting with Paint Shop pro 2019
If you're using my edit to the UI it's probably because they aren't the same. Literally. In the UI I edited the slider to be faster by doing a simple CSS crossfade between the edited image and your original. When it gets sent back to PSP it uses the Python Image Library to do this crossfade. In the original version of the UI the app would create the different levels of the crossfade creating a stutter as it loaded new images in the background literally pulling them from the harddrive for each of the 10 intensity levels. I'm assuming the difference is simply in the rendering. Webpage vs PIL.

LeviFiction,
Yes, I am using all of your changes. That makes all the sense in the world. Seriously, I know it was a difference of some kind. I surely can live with it and very much appreciate the time you spent with me, me with you to validate changes you made with the slider and all related to PicToPrinting to use TensorFlow 1.5

Ok guys, so let me ask then; is all I have to do now is delete the 'tensorflow-old' folder, and then re=add the tensorflow.zip into the lib folder?

Re: PicToPainting with Paint Shop pro 2019
That is one way to handle it yes. You don't have to delete it just copy the tensorflow folder into the lib folder. It's okay if the tensorflow-old folder is still there. Because nothing is looking for a library called tensorflow-old. It's looking for tensorflow. That's the important thing.
