VS9.0 16:9 ratio problem

Post by hanskru »

I am a user since VS5.0, now I am using VS9.0. I have filmed with my Sharp VL-Z5s in 16:9 format. When I play this directly from my CAM to TV, than automatically the whole TV screen (16:9) is used.
After capturing my video ( project properties do show Attributes 24 bits, 720x576, 16:9, DV Video Encoder Type 1) and burning it on DVD thru the recommended procedure I see on my TV screen on top and bottom a thick black area. What goes wrong? :(

Also someone else was filming the same happening with 4:3, so I captured in 4:3
I want to use some of the scenes, but when I created a video file into 16:9 ratio, than I see on my PC screen in VS9.0 the video within a black square, whereas my film, original taped in 16:9 ratio, shows on my PC screen in VS9.0 on the top and bottom a large thick black area.
Has anyone a suggestion?
