Video pauses everytime I zoom / scroll / do anything!!!

Hello I just bought Corel and find it VERY annoying that the video pauses everytime I do anything like zoom, scroll, editing or anything.

I am used to work in Cubase for audio production and that software lets me do whatever I want while it's playing.

When I edit videos, I want to be able to listen to the clips and edit and go up/downbetween tracks WITHOUT THE VIDEO PAUSING.

Is there ANY WAY to come around this? Feels like I wasted $80 because if I cannot get around this it might be useless for me and I have to back to Blender or something like that... which ALSO Blender has a huge set of drawbacks that I with time couldn't stand anymore, so I looked for an alternative.
Corel Videostudio looked like a "bang for the buck" but as long as it keeps INTERUPTING MY WORKFLOW I cannot use it.

I have run VS2018 on three different systems, from 8 years old to current higher end, Intel and AMD and never experienced what you described. Can you tell us about your computer configuration?

I'm not sure why my computer specs would affect this. I'm not sure if you understood my issue.
The program doesn't freeze, the video just PAUSES whenever I do anything, it can be something simple as just selecting the video file in the sequencer.
Or scrolling up and down between tracks.

It PAUSES THE VIDEO, not freezing the program or crashing. No problem with that.

Well for me Videostudio has ALWAYS worked the way you describe Cederick -- any mouse click or key press and the video pauses

does your video not pause when you take any action at all gewb - I never remember it doing any thing different

I have just got used to a quick tap on the spacebar to continue the video

Not Blender or Windows Movie Maker... They continue playing video while I'm editing, scrolling etc.

I have tried Adobe Premiere at a friends place too and I can't remember that software pausing all the time either.

Only Corel pauses all the time, of all these video programs I've tried.

If Corel makes it at least an option to have contiously playing video at all times until one MANUALLY PAUSES then I might be interested in Corel again, until then, I cannot use it.

I don't know why you say this is not a problem?

Look at all the other replies in this thread, this is how Corel Videostudio works, it's not about computer specs!

So you cannot say that you have never experienced this, because me and all others say it does... because it's how Corel Videostudio works. It doesn't suit my needs at all tho.

WMM certainly stops when you click to edit a playing movie. Pinnacle, Cyberlink etc all pause when you click to edit

Anyway, get a refund.
