I'm not sure what to do. My video files output is really bad quality. I always match these settings by selecting same as first video clip. I have tried all the other 4k pre set formats that videostudio offers, but still the output is awful quality. I have done the same in hitfilm video editor and the video quality is as it should be like the original! So it's something Corel does to my videos. Any idea would be greatly appreciated!
Original video settings:
PAL (25 fps)
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 3840 x 2160, 25 fps
Frame-based
H.264 High Profile Video: 69999 Kbps
48000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 256 Kbps
4K X10 Output Quality

Re: 4K X10 Output Quality
Hi
I believe there was another poster with a similar issue, although not sure at the moment which version?
Using Smart Proxy files seemed to be the culprit
Can you remove the Proxy files then try rendering to same as first clip.
Settings Smart Proxy manager – File manager.
Does that improve the quality.?

Re: 4K X10 Output Quality
This appears to be a fault overall with VSP 2018. I'm outputting to 1080p from 1080p and with one Colour Balance FX, the resolution is really bad. I've had VSP since x3 was issued but this proxy problem is a fault that's new. The output looks like standard definition instead of high definition.
After trying various outputs, Smart Render on/off, same as first clip etc etc, it seems there is an underlying fault.
If deleting proxies is the workaround, that's no good when you want to go back into the project and make more changes.

Re: 4K X10 Output Quality
Just FYI, we have raised this problem with our Corel contacts, who say they are working on a fix. But as usual we have no timeline for when this might appear.

Re: 4K X10 Output Quality
Thanks Ken. It appears that disabling proxy mode is sufficient rather than deleting proxy files.

Re: 4K X10 Output Quality
Ken, glad to hear that Corel is eventually working on a fix. As far as I am concerned I didn't receive any answer after my second e-mail to Corel support about this bug.

Re: 4K X10 Output Quality
I'm glad I got the quality output now I'm deleting the proxy files, but like you said it's a real pain the .... when you want to work on the file again. I will try and just disable the the proxy, like suggested. Hopefully that does the job.
