Problem When I open jpg black & white pictures with Paint Shop Pro x7 it treats them as if they are RAW files. I do not want to edit them as RAW files. I want to edit them as regular black & white pictures. Older Paint Shop Pro programs, such as Paint Shop Pro X, do treat the files correctly.
Solution wanted I want PSP X7 to stop treating all plain black & white pictures as RAW files. Please tell me how to do this.
Thank You,

Re: incorrectly treating files as RAW
Do you have an example image you are willing to share? I have heard of this happening with TIFF files because TIFF is used as a container for some RAW formats. And PSP gets confused. But I have not heard of this happening with JPG files.
Second question are you opening them from the manage mode or from the open command?
Third question, do these JPGs have Raw versions of them in the same folder?

Re: incorrectly treating files as RAW
I did not know that tif files could also confuse paint Shop Pro into thinking they were RAW files. I don't have any untouched jpg files available now to test. At least I can't find any. All the jpg on my disk now were finished as tif by PSP X. (I have about 4 HDD of photos) So, PSP X7 appears to be working correctly. I think this topic can be stopped now. If I find the problem in the future I will post more information. LeviFiction, thank you for the help.
