Re-use saved project File

I know my question might sound silly, but I couldn't find an answer before posting.
I'm working on a long video project on Videostudio X9
unfortunately I have to uninstall and reinstall videostudio again.
My question is: Will I be able to use the old saved Project File and load it on the newly installed program without any issue?
Will I have to Re-Link all the videos?
if I purchase Videostudio 2018 will I be able to use the saved X9 project and load it on the Videostudio 2018 without issues?

Hi Nicole

There should be no problems in re-installing Video Studio
Your existing projects will / should open with the new installation of X9 and if you install 2018 they should also open ok
You have to take care that when uninstalling the program that you do not remove your files associated with your project VSP.
To make sure you can always create a Smart Package of your project, that will save copies of all clips used in project.
Saving those to a new folder.
Providing your files remain in the same location, no reason to think otherwise, then there would be no re-link.

As a note --- for 2018 Trial, you cannot open existing projects using the trial.
No problems using the purchased / full version.
I assume if you purchase 2018 that you do from the ad’s from X9 that provide a discount.
