Re: PicToPainting plugin installation failed
This is very interesting. I have also been working with Corel Tech Support regards this issue and they are giving me suggestions (none of them work so far) on things to do to get PicToPainting working with the trial versions. Seems like they would just say, "Sorry, PicToPainting doesn't work with the trial versions". Oh well. Thanks for everyone's input...

Pic-to-painting installs to trial version
I have installed the trial version of PSP 2019 and was able to download and install Pic-to-Painting plugin
The process starts with the first page indicating that I was trying the product, that I would not be able to use after trial without purchase.
A download progress bar can be seen top right in green, a little small and very slow to download.
Do not close PSP till this has completed, if you return to Edit and the tutorials pop up then that appears to deselect the PtoP download. Hmmm
Once download we are prompted to install the plugin, again was a little slow to show Windows Installer.
Installation completes ok.
Pic to Painting was available from Effects - Plugins
Be patient when downloading and installing PtoP

What says the Windows Events report ?
Don't know its name in English (I'm running a French Windows).
It looks like this : In the details you will find the files which cause the problem.

Re: PicToPainting plugin installation failed
If you tried the trial before, you need to uninstall the trial and install both versions of PTP (32 + 64)2Pen+1 wrote:After buying PaintShop Pro 2019 Ultimate I cannot get PicToPainting to install

Hi Batka, did you get the solution, if yes what it is?Batka wrote:Hi!
I bought PSP 2019 Ultimate and installed only x64 version to my Win10 x64.
Installed Perfectly Clear 3.5 SE, which works good.
But I cannot able to install PicToPainting, because always got an error message:
"Error 1606. Could not access network location \Plugins\EN."
I disabled antivirus, firewall, sandbox etc-etc, without success.
Could you help me please...
regards

Re: PicToPainting plugin installation failed
Like so many other posters on this topic, I had the same issues with PicToPainting. Previously, I had installed 2019 version and was using PicToPainting with no problems. After getting the upgrade(?) to 2020-U, I could not install PicToPainting. The install seemed to complete, but the plugin was not available to the main program. A system search did not find the PicToPainting.8bf any place. There was also not a choice to install this plugin available. Like other users/customers I contacted support where I received no satisfaction even though I had numerous replies and conversations. I removed the 2020 version and reinstalled it several times (32/64 bit) all with the same result. Removing and reinstalling the 2019 version did not help as I could not now install the PicToPainting plugin there either. Support give one tidbit that might be helpful. Here are the steps I took to finally get PicToPainting to install with PSP2020-U:
1. Uninstalled PSP (2019 or 2020). I forget which version I really had at the time
2. Downloaded and ran a "cleanup" tool link supplied by support found here:
download/file.php?id=13409
3. Did another fresh installation of PSP2020U 32&64 bit versions
4. Ran the 32 bit version of PSP2020. It never occurred to me to run this before.
5. Used the "get more plugins" from the effects pull down
6. The install worked!!
I then verified the plugin worked in both the 32 and 64 bit versions. While support and comments on this forum have all indicated that we must download both versions, I did not read that to get this plugin to install the 32 bit program should be used. Maybe just on my W10 system. I did not find GRFX or ParticleShop plugins to require these same machinations.
While this process worked for me, it could for others, too.
One last comment: I suggested that support have a look at this forum to realize this issue was not a one off for me, but rather a product issue.
Good Luck!

Re: PicToPainting plugin installation failed
I have psp 2020, both 32 and 64. I cannot get pic to painting plug in to install - I get the same error message that some of you have. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program and that didn't help. Hopefully someone here has come up with a fix.
Re: PicToPainting plugin installation failed
I had problems with Pic to Painting at first install & Corel team sorted by advising my CPU required updating to i series. Bought a second hand i series CPU. Bingo all is good in 32 & 64 bit.
Re: PicToPainting plugin installation failed
I am trialing 2020 & pic to painting is working fine. But I do have 2019 maybe 2020 is picking it up from there. Also I have PtoP running on X9 - had to put a copy in a folder (can't remember which one - just copied over from 2019).
