Caveat. I haven't use Video Studio x8 for a long time so my memory may be slipping a few cogs!
I downloaded a video from YouTube. MP4. It way to saturated. So I simply opened it in Studio and de-saturated it. Then saved, again as MP4. However when I try to view that new version in Windows Media Player it is about 50% the viewing size of the original.
Simple. What have I done or overlooked?

Re: Dumb question!
Did you place the video in the video track, or the overlay track?

Re: Dumb question!
I simply Import a Media File. The open options. Change saturation. Drag the file down to the timeline. Open Share and hit the Start button.

We hope you still remember that VS's timeline has few tracks...bruce1951 wrote:I simply Import a Media File. The open options. Change saturation. Drag the file down to the timeline. Open Share and hit the Start button.

Re: Dumb question!
Did you not check the settings in "Share" before you rendered the new file - sounds as though you just accepted the profile which was showing - you must change the output properties to match your video or use "same as first Video Clip" to get an identical output
also not very sure about your workflow -- put the clip in the timeline BEFORE applying any corrections / Effects to it - messing with the clip in a library does not necessarily apply them to the actual clip
