Does Aftershot 3 support pspimage files?
If PaintShop only saves layers in pspimage, AfterShot is of limited value to those of us who always use layers.

Re: pspimage
APS is a raw-converter - it does not support native Paint-Shop, Photoshop or Gimp Files (with layersupport). Its the same with e.g. lightroom or other raw converters.
ASP should be the first step - most of the time there should be no need to use further editing - if there is the need to do so you con export as 16 bit tiff and edit with Raint-Shop Pro (or another external editor you want to use)

Re: pspimage
I use a raw-converter to create and, to some small extent, edit TIFF files. From there I can open it in Painter, PaintShop, AfterShot, Photoshop, Lightroom or Qimage. I never use native file types as TIFF is a no fuss format for me. After using the most appropriate programs, I can send the layered TIFFs back to Qimage for printing with specific paper-printer profiles. I can't do that with pspimage files. If a layer change is required, I simply open the TIFF, alter the layer and save it again. I was hoping to replace Photoshop and Lightroom. The only thing keeping me from doing that is the pspimage file limitation.

Re: pspimage
I am not sure, but I think I understand your special needs - you have many old layered files that you want to reedit.
I have worked with photoshop, gimp (still working - but very seldom),eclipse , photivo (raw), pixeluvo, neat-image, noise-ninja (only noise reduction), photoprint (on linux) and Qimage (only for special prints on windows).
99 % ASP - don't need the other things - sometimes eclipse (for special compositings). I know it could and should be better, but after all nowadays its still the best choice (for me)
The main ting for a raw converter is to use it with raw file straight from the camera. 16 bit tiff are also fine but its not the original ...

Re: pspimage
They aren’t old files for me, layers are a major feature of the program. I practically always use layers. I just watched a video with Bob Taylor on using PaintShop on the Corel site and he recommends using layers as well - https://learn.corel.com/tutorials/using ... ro-part-1/.
Opening an old file in a raw-converter to make some small tweak is a bit of a lazy shortcut. But I do it.
As always, thanks.

Re: pspimage
AfterShot does bitmap files which are not RAW. JPEGs are an obvious example.
But PSPImage is probably asking for much
