Hello fellow VS users.
I did make a (somewhat complex) P&Z scene on a clip. This clip has an overlay with an aplha channel, which does need to P&Z ecactly as the main clip.
Can I somehow copy/paste the P&Z from Clip1 to Clip2?
If not: Any suggestions?
My current problem is that in the P&Z window, I can not even go to an exact time to set a timeframe to replicate at the same position in another clip - or can I?

Select the source clip to copy P&Z attributes, right-click and click Copy Attributes.
Select the target clip, right-click and click Paste All Attributes OR click Paste Optional Attributes then select (check) those attibutes to paste.

Re: Copy P&Z attributes from Clip1 to Clip2 [VS2018]
Hello guys.
I have to bring this topic up once again.
I did choose/select and configure Pan&Zoom for clip1, and then copy attributes to clip2, the Zoom is visible for clip2, but "Pan&Zoom" is not checked (see picture).
If I click on Pan&Zoom, VS crashes.
Version is 21.4.0.156 on X64 Win8.1
Besides that I am curious of the general workflow with copied attributes:
If I cange the attribute (e.g. zoom) in one clip, will it update all the others - is there something like a "master attribute" clip or do I always need to modify every single clip.

Hi WorstCases
Thanks for that, certainly I have not noticed this problem, replicated, seems to work ok when using images
Can I ask that you report this problem to Corel Support
I will also pass this on to the Video Studio development team.

Thank you.
I did contact Support. Let's see...
In the meantime I guess I must once again take a look at alternatives like ShotCut or OpenShot... I really was hoping to avaoid such software glitsches in an established and paid Video Editor like VS... I have to say this experience is disappointing - or is it me? Maybe my workflow is wrong/could be better?
I had some long footage where I had to make several cuts, which results in quite a few "independent" clips on the TimeLine. I guess, I could have taken care of the zoom prior cutting - but I did not know then, that I wanted to work with something as basic as a static zoom for the entire clip which now is cut into several clips...
Any suggestions in regards to the workflow?

There is nothing wrong with your workflow it is the Copy and Paste attributes that is not working for P & Z
You can try using Customize Motion aka Advanced Motion to animate your clips where copy and paste seems to work ok, quite versatile.
