10Min project now 60Min+SlowMo (30fps, 200fps issue)? [VS18]
I had trouble redering a clip with Pan&Zoom in VS2018U
The pan in the rendered file was totally messed up, while in the editor everything worked as expected.
I somehow thought it could be, because project setting was 1080p and export was 720p - so I changed project settings to "720p 200fps".
Now the originally 10 minute project is 60 minutes long, as is the exported file - and without additional footage, the Video plays in a slow motion...
Any suggestions how to reverse this problem?
I did change project settings back to something with 25fps, but the project ramains 60 minutes long....

Can you zip and post just the VSP file - I'll try to load it using my own images, etc (as they aren't that important for initial troubleshooting).

I guess that's a good idea - thank you for the offer.

Re: 10Min project now 60Min+SlowMo (30fps, 200fps issue)? [V
Hi
Wow
The more I look the more I find strange things.
Most clips have had Speed and Timelapse applied, I assume you did not do that?
Many clips have used Fade to Black, I assume that was you
The timings seem wrong with first title being 2 min 40 sec. for the Alex & Basti text?
I can reset the Speed Timelapse but have to do one at a time.
Copy and Paste attributes does not help.
I’m trying to understand just what has gone wrong here.
Sorry but you may have to rebuild this project from scratch.
Lets see what Gary has to say?

Re: 10Min project now 60Min+SlowMo (30fps, 200fps issue)? [V
Hey. I would totallly like to understand what went wrong too!
The speed settings (either 200% or 300%) were made by me to speed things up!
Fades by me too.
With all the Speed-Changes applied, I had a combined total (project) time of approx. 10 minutes, until somehow the whole project became extreme slow motion and 60+minutes...
What is the total project time you see?
The title you mention is is 2min40sec long now, because this title as well as everything else became stretched with a factor of approx. 6.
Before everything was stretched, the title was just 24seconds...
I will attach you the VSP from the same project where everything is in order time wise - so you can compare if you want. I don't want to go back there, because I would loose a bunch of changes (including some cuts) made in the VSP you have. And also I think my issue should be reversible, especially since I don't want to experience this with a more comple project than that in the future...
File again is PW-protected (same as previous one).

Totally messed up. Not only what Trevor found but how did you insert totally void blocks in the video track? Mine always snap to the end. Strange (to me).
I'm trying to get global/project changes to work.

I assume the void blocks you see are the ultra long (x6) transition times? Besides these long transitions, I don't see empty spaces. Maybe you see them, because you don't have all original footage - something might be missing. Either way: Void/empty spaces not an issue here!

Ah, that's probably the case. Anyway, I'm not having any luck yet...but I'm not giving up so soon.

Re: 10Min project now 60Min+SlowMo (30fps, 200fps issue)? [V
I can reproduce the problem.
Open the Schnitt05.vsp file (where the timing is all fine) and then change the project properties to: Mobile, MPEG-4, 1280*720, 200p. Save and restart VS. Then the timing is messed up an all of a sudden everything timewise is (roughly) factor x6.
Now I wish I could restore to the original timing by changing the project properties back to: MPEG-4, 1920*1080, 29,97fps... But it won't restore original timing.

I will download the good vsp and have another look.
Interesting that you were able to replicate the problem
Unfortunately I don't think we will be able to restore the corrupt vsp
But like Gary have not given up, it will be tomorrow before I can test again, I am in the UK, so getting a little late

What is the length of the original video file, before applying Speed Timelapse.?

Re: 10Min project now 60Min+SlowMo (30fps, 200fps issue)? [V
Hi
I was able to replicate the problem using the good VSP, re-linking to my files worked but interesting.
I had expected the re-link to complete in one go as my video was long enough to fit, however I have to run the program several times (6) to complete the full re-links.
So far I have not been able to reset the duration back to 10 minutes.
I have not been able to replicate this problem using my own projects.
Whilst testing I have noticed several things that would affect your quality.
Your project properties are set to use 25 fps (Pal) whilst the Gopro video uses 29.97 fps (NTSC)--I think, is that correct?
That has the effect where the project removes the frames to allow 29.97 to fit to 25, effectively removing 5 frames per second. Clearly that will be noticeable especially on faster moving videos.
Then adding Speed Timelapse again is achieved by adding or removing frames., increasing the speed will remove frames and eventually show as a stutter.
Then introduce Pan & Zoom and the program has a lot to do.
Refreshing the project when first opening takes a long time, much longer than expected, as does Fit project to Timeline, I think the combination of Speed Timelapse and Pan & Zoom is giving the program something to think about.
Changing the project frame rate, I assume in an attempt to improve playback quality.
Very unusual that this increased the project duration to such an extent from 10 minutes to 1hr 7 mins. Very odd

After too many hours I'm throwing in the towel - no luck. My experience duplicates what Trevor has found.

Re: 10Min project now 60Min+SlowMo (30fps, 200fps issue)? [V
I have been able to replicate this unusual behaviour using one of the library samples
How
1 / insert SP-V01 to timeline, yes to messages to match settings. ( Project at 7 seconds)
2 / add fade to black at end of clip, default set to 2 seconds. ( project at 7 seconds)
3 / Apply Speed and Timelapse at 200% ( project duration 3 sec 012 f, that appears normal.
4 / edit project settings to use Mobile 1280 x 720 x 200p ( for NTSC 240P) ( project ok)
5 / Save project, giving it a name.
6 / close Video Studio
7 / Run Video Studio and open VSP saved above
Result
Project duration changed from 3 seconds to 23.014 seconds.
Repeatable
