Hello,
I want to cover the monitor screen in the attached example with an new picture. This works fine using the mask tool, as long as the monitor screen gets not covered by the door.
Any ideas how to get a good result even when the door comes in?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Michael

Sorry but I don't understand what you want to do. What does the door have to do with anything?

I am assuming that the video which will appear over the blank screen, because it is in an overlay track, would also partially appear on the door as it intrudes into the project. So he is obviously after something which would cut-off the overlay at the right edge of the door as it swings in. Personally I can't think how you would do this except by resetting the mask frame by frame -- and that could get tedious...

Hello. Thanks for your reply. If you look at the video (see attached zip file from the first posting) you will see that the monitor is completly visable at the begining and gets covered by the door later. Now I want to show another desktop screen and the problem is how to crop the mask automatically, when the door comed in. Or do you have another idea to solve the problem?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Just an idea...Chroma key.
Shoot first full open shot of monitor then add mask to overlay whatever. hang colored material as a chroma key, shoot the door closing. Overlay monitor and closing door using the color as your chroma key. Do a search for paper or fabric to use as the backdrop.

gewb, thanks for your idea. I could shoot the scene again I would directly show the preferred screen on the monitor. But I am not able to film it. So it seems, that I have to do it frame by frame.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Micha, I don't use VS2018 but your shot isn't complicate at all for video analyzing.
So if Mask Creator can't handle it, this feature is pure crap as it suppose to work with much more complex situations as consumer software.
