Wish List for PSP 2020

PSP should have a warning to users: turn on Windows extensions (.jpg, .png etc.) to see image extensions in PSP. I have seen more than one thread about this in around 2 months.

Allow in-window scrolling in the materials>gradients section.

When one uses the Brushes tool, and one goes to select a brushtip, PSP allows for in-window scrolling. This is good.

In the Materials section > gradient selection, scrolling is only allowed via the scrollbar.

Since modern UI's are allowing in-window scrolling, PSP should standardize on that.

"PhotoDirector also adds a Dehaze command, in line with other popular editing packages." from https://www.extremetech.com/computing/2 ... -suite-365. PSP should have it too. The dehaze function in Perfectly Clear vis not adequate.

Add the capacity to open all of the pages in a PDF, not just the front page. Read-only is fine.

Increase in number of types of Adjustment layers - Highlights Midtones Shadows , Red/Green/Blue and a Hue Map adjustmant layers for a start.

Hi there, new to Paintshop Pro. I have PSP 2019 Ult. I am interested in 3D painting. Not sure what platform would be the best, Corel Paint, PSP Pro., or Paint Essential. I would like to see maps and PBR shaders included with one of these products. Such as Normal, Height, Bump, Specular and Diffuse maps and any others maps used in 3D modeling. I have Blender, Autodesk FBX Converter 2013.3 and and just installed Pixaflux. I would like to use any of the Corel Paint programs in making assets for simulators such as Trainz 2019 (which uses PBR shaders), X-Plane 11 and Construction Simulator 2015.

This problem has been present since at least Jasc PSP8 days. Each tool has a Reset to Default option.
This does not function fully in the case of the Paintbrush tool. Everything is Reset to a default brushstroke except for the Texture choice which should also be turned off but is currenty left On.
This has caused a number of posts where people have complained that their paintbrush tool is not working properly and it is eventually discovered that the Texture has been left on for their Paint Brush.

So adjust the Reset to Default for the Paint Brush so it turns off Texture.

Two things I want mightlily.
1. Fix the Pick tool so that it stays on whichever setting you have chosen to use whilst copying and pasting. In both 2018 and 2019 it has a tendency to change from Scale to Shear which can be very maddening while working on a project.

2. The Materials Palette. I want to be able to add additional colors to swatches or a palette when I am choosing colors from Contemporary, or Triad for example, I want to be able to all the colors generated to a new palette or swatch. Right now there is no option to do that though you can add each one individually.

Ditto on the support for HEIC. I am a dedicated Android user and Android 9 (Pie) supports the iPhone format on my Pixel XL as does Windows 10 with the right plug ins. I worked for Apple in the 80s but don't use their hardware. Having given that useless information, I deal with enough of the new Apple format to wish for it to be handled natively in PSP 2019.

Full page preview when a user selects "Print Layout." This was alive in PSP7 as "Print Preview." It was dead with "Print Layout" in PSP9.

Yes, I know that PSP7 and PSP9 were JASC products, but Corel is using the same "Print Layout" as PSP9. It seems to me that replicating what PSP7 had should not be a problem.

Also on the Materials palette. Could we please get the default gradient to be foreground/background unless or until we choose something else. And Patterns default should be any image open in the program instead of having to do a time-consuming search for it. Please, oh Please!

Can you already drag and drop multiple photos from Windows explorer to hdr merge tool ?
it has been *** from the start to choose right 3 photos from the set of photos.. and no improvement until X9

Updateable workspaces.

I have a PSP 2018 workspace that I like. But a user has found that merely opening an old (PSP 2018) workspace in PSP 2019 results in a UI menu which does not include resizeable text. So, I would like a way to copy my workspace while taking advantage of new technology.

Customizable Splash Screen. I would like to designate any image as a Splash image, even if I must construct a bmp image in (gasp) PSP.

This is probably a big ask, but for the longest time, I used Microsoft's Photo Gallery to manage my pictures (some minor editing, but mostly for organizing, tagging, etc.). What would be totally awesome is if I could easily import this database (tags, person tags, locations, captions, etc.) into PSP.
