I know this may sound a bit superfluous, but I would really like to see some form of tracking how many hours/days a persons has worked on an image. It would be of a great assistance when it comes to billing for certain projects, as well I know I have logged at least a few hundred hours on some of the more detailed work and would really like to be able to account for what I have put into any given project. Perhaps if not too difficult, you could even add a history of what dates the project was worked on.

There is technically a way to do this right now. Though I can see either a separate view or dedicated tool for this being useful. And since we can already see this information it should be something they can implement.

But, if you have left "Save edit history" turned on in your settings. Then every time you save your PSPImage file, it adds a time and date stamp to the history log. So, just hit save when you start working on a project and when you end and it'll become like clocking in and clocking out on that particular project. In fact the script necessary to interpret a time sheet based on the saves in the history info is extremely simple.

- Better RAW converter (with shadow and highlight recovery, vignetting reduction, more lens corrections with own samples like in Aftershot)
- Camera RAW Lab context menu when disabled in manage mode
- Better HSL dialog (like Lr with colours sliders) with three tabs H, S and L
- Better hue map (horizontal with +/- 0 position) perhaps integrated in the HSL dialog
- More layers blend modes
- Healing brush should work in B&W mode like in PSP X7
- Introduced bugs removed
- Lr template converter
- FLIF format support
- Less new bugs...
- Better Exif informations like Exiftools...
- RGB to layers and back
- CMYK to layers and back
- Less new bugs

1., When I choose Pick Tool I would like move the item with arrow keys pixel to pixel.
2., In Pen-Tool I would like choose triangle line type - like the PS and Inkscape
3., When I move (or create) an element, I would like if the endpoint (or center, etc) snap the existing items endpoint (section points)

I've been using the PSP (now 2019) since JASC, and I like it. :)

My wishlist for years already,. for the next edition:
1. Option in working in CMYK mode, instead of only converting to CMYK (just like Adobe Photoshop). This enables designing anything right from the beginning the right printing colours.
2. Photobook Function to create independent photobook, which can be exported to Pdf or just jpg in single page, spread, etc.
3. Batch resize, option for length or width in pixels - proportionally just like in Lightroom. Now for example vertical photos are stretched or horizontal photos are squeezed.

I am a PSP user since version 1.0 (from the Jasc era)

A Star Effect filter and place in Illumination effects.
You run the effect and it chooses bright areas, you can move a slider and it reduces or increases the number of areas selected according to their relative brightness, then you could choose to have 4 spikes, 6 spikes 8 spikes 12 spikes or other numbers of spikes.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867

Nifty effect. It is in PSP2019, I suppose. It does not appear to be in PSP2018 or earlier.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

No, it isn't in PSP2019. The OP was using this Wish List thread to ask Corel to add it in future releases.

I think it would be a great addition to have a better "Recent" list than just the 10 that are offered in the "File" menu. I would really like to be able to have a customization list of specific files I work with regularly available such as licensing info, creator, logo's, etc. that are a pain to have to navigate using "File - Open" then browsing directories after they have fallen off the recent list because I have opened 10 images.

Speaking of wishlists for future versions of PSP how About that 'Recent Items' entry? I had to do a ctrl-mousemove to get a COPY of File > Recent Files up on my main toolbar when I was doing customizations. When I did View > Customize... I could not find an item for 'Recent Files' under the 'File' menulist to add to the toolbar. I had to take a tip from an expert on this forum (I have not yet found an entry in the Help file) on how to copy an item.

That and the fact that 'Recent Items' deserves an icon. In PSP 2018 it is the only item on my toolbar represented by text. Heck, even 'File Locations" on my lefthand toolbar is represented by an icon.

FIX PICK MODE

Post by epseja »

There is a persistent bug that's been part of PSP for years which deserves to be fixed posthaste:

SHIFT, CTRL, and ALT are all keys used in combination with other keys to perform functions. Having those keys themselves used as functions makes them trigger changes in PICK MODE every time you're using them for something else. For instance, if you CTRL + V to paste, the PICK MODE will change to PERSPECTIVE because its hot key is CTRL. CTRL + SHIFT + V to paste as new image will switch PICK MODE to FREE. If you SHIFT + H to bring up the Hue/Saturation/Lightness menu, PICK MODE will switch to SHEAR.

Now these are obviously buggy effects, but the coup de grace is the fact that there is NO HOTKEY for changing PICK MODE to SCALE. Whoever developed the functionality to perform in this manner should be publicly ridiculed and flogged with Twizzlers until it gets fixed.

The best fix would be as follows: under PREFERENCES > GENERAL PROGRAM PREFERENCES, create an entry called SET PERSISTENT PICK MODE which, when checked, ignores all PICK MODE hotkeys and leaves the mode as whichever one was last chosen from the pull down menu in the toolbar. Barring that, at LEAST make a hotkey for SCALE PICK MODE. MAYBE something like CTRL+ SPACE or SHIFT + SPACE.

Thumbnail Mode in Dual Monitor

Post by epseja »

PLEASE enable thumbnail mode for the MANAGE palette in Dual Monitor mode. The Organizer strip is useless when you are reviewing hundreds of photos within a folder.

F12 SAVE AS Override

The PSP program window should gain focus, even when dragging and dropping a file from Windows Explorer. This currently does not always work, especially with dual monitors.
