Wish List for PSP 2020
With the pre-release of PSP 2019, I think it's time for a new wish list.
Add your requests for what you would like to see included in the next version of PSP. And PLEASE try to keep the topic free from discussions and critiques on why someone's idea is feasible or not. This will make it easier for the Corel team to read through and extract ideas.
Discussions will be removed from this topic.

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
1. when using Adjust > Levels move a slider. The OK is highlighted as being the default action that should work if you press the Enter key. It has not worked this way since PSP X4. It did work with PSP X3 and earlier. There is at least one other adjustment / effect that also ignores this standard Windows feature - that the highlighted choice is applied when the Enter key is used.
For others if you have made a change and want to apply that same change to other images you should be able to make the change for one image accept , then next image click the adjustment and then hit Enter. Instead for some eg Threshold even if you want to do a number of images at say 90, you have to move the slide and then move it back to 90 before the Enter key will be accepted.
This applies to the
Adjust > Digital Camera Noise Removal,
Adjust > Brightness and Contrast > Threshold,
Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Vibrancy,
Adjust > Depth of Field
2. As discussed in this post
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=64092
Fix the 'Image > Add Borders' so that it behaves like the Image > Picture Frames and places the border on a new layer and has the choice of merging or not auto merging.
Any new suggestions I will Edit and add here so that I only need to make one posting in this thread. If there is a possible 'bug' I will ask the question in another thread and if confirmed then add the bug here. That way this thread will be made as short as possible giving Corel time to read.

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
Add a "White" adjustment in the Adjust section. There is already a "Hilights" slider, but some other apps add a "Whites" slider.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
I wish we could
1) lock layer position
2) lock aspect ratio for individual layers (which does not seem possible in 2018, making manual size input cumbersome)

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
For PSP 20 I would like to be able to copy the version info with a Ctrl-C, rather than having to hand-transcribe the info, like copying "PSP 2018 20.0.0.132 x64" directly.

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
Well, the ability to only move the currently selected later is handy but the ability to lock layers in place has its own benefits.

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
1) Inner shadow option. This is a slam dunk in Microsoft Office apps, Inkscape, and Gimp
2) Vector drawing tools for custom shapes. These are found in all of the above plus all OpenOffice variations and Scribus.

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
1) cutout can be considered an inner drop shadow. Are you referring to just the effect or getting the effect in layer styles.
2) we have vector tools for custom shapes unless you wish to suggest specific ones we are missing

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
I suggested this for 2019 and I am unsure it is in the 2019 version, but I doubt that it is.
Better clipping masks. Similar to how PS do it, so we can easily adjust stuff and change/move etc

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
The one thing I can see that is sorely missing from PhotoShop's key tools is a refine edge/selection tool. This really needs to be added to PaintShop.

- Possibility to zoom-in/out when making a selection (point to point)
- Put some materials (visible) outside the image area
- Enhance the darkening brush that brightens areas that are not 100% opaque.
- Append an option for tools size (see image). Usefull when working on little details on very big image.

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
SVG support -2019 still claims that valid SVG files are invalid if they don't have an XML declaration, no way to import as vector, no way to export to SVG (kinda essential if you work on the web)
"New Layer" back in right-click menu (I'm still on X3 because of this

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
Layered EPS files. It merges all layers when you open an EPS file, would be great if that did not happen

Re: Wish List for PSP 2020
OMG yes please!!! The whites & blacks sliders were the only thing holding me to Lightroom. I use those if needed and then export to PSP. It would be great to do everything in PSP only.ehume wrote:Add a "White" adjustment in the Adjust section. There is already a "Hilights" slider, but some other apps add a "Whites" slider.
A shadows slider would be awesome too, if it's not already in 2019 (I haven't tried 2019 yet).
