Capture Video from Sony DCR TRV350
Is it possible to capture Video from SONY DCR TRV350 (outdated model) using Ulead Video Capture. I did not see this model listed under the compitable options. Pleas help as Iam planning to buy a software for PC which can capture vide in full screen mode from the camera.

Yes you can use that model. It's a digital videocamera and the material on the videotape transfers to the computer just fine. You don't have to locate your camcorder on any list. I have the TRV320 (older than yours) and it's wonderful!
Ulead VideoStudio is a great program but if you have doubts you can download the trial version -- which is a full version -- and use it for a month. Or you can pay $10 and get a CD mailed to you with several Ulead trial programs on it.
Get back to us with any problems.

I have the TRV 530
It captures but I have had problems with the mode where you specify a lot of stop/start times; they don't line up as nicely as I'd like.
I think anything with a firewire connection should work. This model is old enough that the term Firewire isn't even used in the manual! Instead Sony refers to it as iLink or something like that and I don't even think I found the numeric standard term either.
Worse comes to worse you can buy some shareware like DVCapture, which should work with any Firewire device and then use VideoStudio to produce your DV using your captured video.
Good luck!
