[SOLVED] Partial Export (share) a project [VS2018]

Post by WorstCases »

Can anybody tell me, how to export/render only part of a project?

I do have a relative long project and for testing purpose I would like to save some time and only export/render a few minutes from it.
Can't find the option anywhere...

EDIT:
It actualy IS simple, if you know it.

The following is a copy from
http://help.corel.com/videostudio/en/of ... oject.html
To create a video file from a trimmed range
1 In the Share workspace, click a sharing category, click an output option, and choose your settings.
2 Ensure that the Create Preview Range Only check box is marked.
3 In the Player panel, click Project.
4 Select a range by dragging the orange Trim Markers to the start and end points you want.

Load you full project. Delete parts of the project you don't want and then "Save As" the shortened project with a new name.
You can now render the shortened project ]. The original full project is still available for a full render when needed.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Do I have to manually delete every single clip/Overlay/Text individually if I would do it the way you suggest? I can't find a way to highlight all tracks (and content) from a certain position.
Since I have a bunch of individual clips/overlays/Text, this does not seem productive - but maybe that's the only possible way in VS2018...?
