There are more than a few options to use for file formats for exporting. What is the most commonly used...MPEG4? I'm making fairly long videos for tutorials, so I would like to know of a format that isn't too "heavy" for uploading to Youtube, facebook, etc.
Any ideas on what's the most common format to use?

Why not to use the same format you used all those years?

Re: What file format to use
Use the format most suitable for the final use the video will get - no good using mpeg-4 if the device you use for display in your tutorials cannot play it
you need to experiment - which format gives the best quality on the devices it will be played on

Re: What file format to use
I guess I will have to experiment. I'm just trying to get the fastest upload without sacrificing quality. Thanks.

Re: What file format to use
Because I made a 54 min. video which i cannot upload to very many places, like facebook for instance. That video is about 7 gb, so I guess I'm going to have to edit the heck out of it or time-lapse it to bring the file size down quite a bit.asik1 wrote:Why not to use the same format you used all those years?

Re: What file format to use
What format did you use to make a 7GB file of a 54 minute video? Making a timelapse video will be useless since it will "destroy" you video as you will be throwing away most of your video.
Why not download a youTube video of equivalent size and look at its properties?

Are you sure there are viewers that will watch 54min video? That video better have a story that captivates or else you won't have many viewers.rkstudio wrote:Because I made a 54 min. video which i cannot upload to very many places, like facebook for instance.
