SP3 Issue - Win 7

Post by RobertOZ »

This problem only appears on the desktop, Win7, on the laptop, Win10 there is no problem

When I drag a video clip/image to the timeline the FX library opens, happens every time an item is dragged to the timeline, a real pain in the whatsit

Anyone else see this

Robert

I tested this using windows 7 on a laptop and all was ok.

As mentioned on your other post I have seen this for myself and is quite annoying having to switch back.
At the moment I cannot replicate this issue?

Have identified the problem
Place any clip in the timeline, open Options Panel/Effect tick Show Grid Lines, close Options Panel, now drag any clip to timeline, FX Library opens after each clip
Remove tick and FX Library does not open

Now that I have identified the problem, ticked Show Grid Lines on the laptop Win10, same issue, FX Library opens, so definitely an issue with VS2018 SP3, may have also been present with SP2

Have also noticed in VSX10, show Grid Lines is only available with a clip in the overlay track, not on the main timeline, whereas in VS2018 Show Grid Lines can be enabled with a clip in the main timeline, and that is, I suspect, the cause of the problem
