I'm sorry, but I fail to see any objectionable noise - even at 200%. What ISO did you use ?

Re: How would you fix this noisy High ISO photo
AT 100% on my 4K monitor I could see some graininess which I associated with a slightly high ISO. But zooming out to show the whole photo on screen shows no graininess at all -- only (to me) a very slight over exposure in the central parts of the photo. Personally, I thought the whole thing looked pretty good!

Chasing noise issues can often be counter productive. Sure when pixel peeping noise can be found. But the effort to remove it often comes at the expense of detail.
If it was my image I would give it a very light once over with Topaz DeNoise. (I've never been happy with PSP's noise removal).

The raw file says ISO 400 so that is it.TimW wrote:I'm sorry, but I fail to see any objectionable noise - even at 200%. What ISO did you use ?
I had thought it was 2000 because when I saved it as a jpg from Photoshop, the jpg EXIF says ISO 2000.
Since I had the camera in AUTO, I did not understand the 2000

Re: How would you fix this noisy High ISO photo
It really doesn't matter what the EXIF data says or what the actual ISO setting was. What matters is whether or not there is actually objectionable noise in the image. And, as others have pointed out, there isn't anything to worry about in this image. Go with your eyes, not the data.mangurian wrote:The raw file says ISO 400 so that is it.TimW wrote:I'm sorry, but I fail to see any objectionable noise - even at 200%. What ISO did you use ?
