insert font-font doesn't recognised by corel

Post by vasilis »

Hello i would ask you some questions about fonts:
1) first of all i noticed that some windows 10 fonts doesn't display as option when import a sub (choosing greek) to timeline.is there any way corel vsx10 ''recognise'' a spesific font?or inserting, some how to corel?
2)i create a movie.i insert an srt file choosing greek and calibri font but the sync is not good.the same video with the same srt file with movavi video converter and with an option(greek font :modern iso 8857-9 : i don't know what is meaning with iso and i am not sure if can insert srt files with this font at corel, but movavi can do) the synchronization, is much better!!!!why i see this difference ?i am using same video file and the same srt file................

Hi

Fonts are saved to this folder
C:\Windows\Fonts

Most programs will save their fonts to this folder which should be available for all programs.

Are you saying that you have a font installed that shows when using say “Word” But does not show using Video Studio?

If you import a SRT file downloaded from the internet that used a font not installed on your pc then that font cannot be used on your pc with any program.
Windows will replace that font with one of its default font.

This font is not True nor Open font, at least on my system, so you better choose other one.

It is a very basic format for fonts acceptable by Microsoft. They have been around for many years. A simple Google search would have given you the answer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrueType
