Hello
Re: Video Studio Ultimate 2018
I know how to add titles and texts, etc. etc.
However, I am trying to do a video of pictures with an ongoing story. I like the typerwriter idea. However, there is no typewriter option and I cannot see any on the tutorials. Also, there is no "multiple title" options as mentioned in the prior corel videostudio programs.
I would like the title to have the typerwriter effect such as one letter at a time and continuous throughout. I see that sample titles some are the typerwriter effect but again you can't make this an ongoing throughout the video.
When I play around with those types of titles that each letter appears, it is either very fast or very slow with the sound of a typerwriter.
Can anyone help with this?
Thank you.

1- sound you have to add yourself.
2- I don't have 2018 but on my X9 there is typewriter as it's basically a character fade.
3- I don't understand what is "continuous throughout" you mean in a single line? , than it will have to move horizontally as well.

Multiple title
After creating the first title, double click anywhere on screen to create a second title within the same clip.
You can always create separate titles on different timelines,
The time / speed of playback is dependent on the length of the clip, the longer the clip the slower is playback. Or the more words the faster is playback
I assume you are aware of setting animations manually by hitting the two ”TT” symbol.

You cam make the sample titles as long as you wish - just put them in the title timeline and change the duration to the length of your video - you can also edit the text to make it as long as your video

There are options that may be close to what you want. You can create your own in Boris Graffiti FX but it has a fairly steep learning curve. I recomment using one of the predefined Text Motion attributes such as the pop-up text attribute.sunshine wrote: However, I am trying to do a video of pictures with an ongoing story. You can set up to two Title tracks. Click the Track Manager icon left of the Time Line time track, click the Title Tracks drop list arrow and select 2 tracks.sunshine wrote:Also, there is no "multiple title" options as mentioned in the prior corel videostudio programs.
Create a new text overlay for each slide, copy it and paste it paste the source, set the length of the first text clip so the motion rate is what you want, the the length of the copied clip (which remains frozen, no motion) to fill the time slot alotted. Much easier than it sounds when written out.sunshine wrote:I would like the title to have the typerwriter effect such as one letter at a time and continuous throughout. Repeat for each image in your slide presentation.
See above.sunshine wrote:When I play around with those types of titles that each letter appears, it is either very fast or very slow with the sound of a typerwriter.
If you want a short Live Screen Capture of this procedure, just let us know.

Link to a LSC of the above (WMV format) for download - I'll leave it up for a few weeks.

Thank you everyone. I watched the video. That does help with making a title still after the animated part is done
It should be made simpler then that as you have to add the still title. But it works.
However, I have pics and a background video on my time line with a title added to each picture. I have the typewriter music added. But the title is too fast for the typewriter sound. There is no speed I can find on 2018 for this. I can drag the title out and make longer but that does not help
It speeds up the typing appearance. It is the fourth title to the right white outline black border. Letters appear as if typing not dropping or pop up. I can stretch the typewriter sound and find speed for that and that part doesn't work well.
So pretend you are watching a slide show. Each picture has a few sentences on it telling a story. With the typewriter effect. You would want the typing slow, the appearance the sound to match as best as can be. But you don't want a speed typewriter appearance and that's the problem I have and can't find a solution. The title even when stretched out still writes the words fast. Even if it's long. The sound I can play around with but it really is a pain and not user friendly to he these close to match. Thank you so much

I wouldn't use popup but fade for better typing .
The speed is combination of the title duration and it's end point
as here

I do think you need to consider a few 'physics' - as has been said before the speed of the text appearing is totally dependant on the length of time you give it to do it -- think about it -- if your title is 100 characters long and you only give it 10 seconds of run time then it HAS to show 10 characters per second - but if you give it 100 seconds then it will show 1 character per second - how can it be any different ??
pre-planning is required - you either need to show your images longer - or reduce the number of characters in each title

Hi
Can you provide a sample project
Add the typewriter audio clip
Create a few text box at the same length as the image
Save the project as a vsp.
File -- Smart Package --zip
Upload the Smart Package to a sharing site, providing a download link.
On average, how many characters /words does your text contain
