A window pops up saying,
The total size is larger than chosen project
Press yes to try to fit DVD
Press no to go back and re-select clips.
If I pick yes will it change my project setting and downgrade my video to fit the DVD or is rechecking to see if it's possible at my settings?

Re: Burning message
It will try to compress it to fit, and compressing usually means lowering the bitrate which in turn means lowering the quality.

Re: Burning message
As kate has said, it will compress it to size which is compact within your space or another option is that it may delete some of your unused programs or files to make some space to fit it in.

I assume you are creating a Mpeg2 video file to use to burn the disc as this post.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=63293
The reason for creating the Mpeg2 is to overcome the additional render within the burner module ( Convert Title)
When you create the Mpeg2 file use a data rate that will create a video below 4.3 Gb the size of standard DVD, a dual layer holding over 8 Gb.
A data rate of 8000kbps will create a file approx. 4 Gb for one hour
Using Digital Dolby audio will allow for 70 minutes of video per disc.
Using 6000kbps will allow for 90 minutes to disc.
If you give details of your video, how long is the video / project we could suggest a data rate.
Using the correct video size will overcome that pop up message

Re: Burning message
I'm all good now. I do usually follow your guidelines for the data rate, 8000kb for 1 hour video, 6000 for 90 min etc. I was just thrown from the wording in the pop up. It didn't explain that it would compress and downgrade my quality.
