VideoStudio 2018 stops during rendering

The title explains my problem. After having changed VS X10 to VS 2018 ULtimate (SP3), when rendering a project, the encoding process starts normally and at about 45 % stops with the message :

There I can choose "Abort", "Retry" or "Ignore". The two first close the program and if I choose Ignore, the encoding goes on until the next stop with the same message. I "ignore" several times (5 on a 45 mn film) but the result is awfull (whites burnt).
I contacted the Corel Support and I was told that the HerDoctordll.dll file was corrupt and I had to reinstall Windows 10 ! The HerDoctordll.dll file is located in Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018 ; I reinstalled VS 2018 it with the same result, so I don't see why it should be corrupt every time.
Has somebody a better idea ?

Welcome to the forum -- though I wish it were in happier circumstances.

It would help if you could tell us about the video in the project: exactly what format is it? Right click on one of the clips in either the VS timeline or VS library window and copy ALL of the Properties here, please -- or take a screen shot of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment.

Is the format you are rendering to the same? I ask since the the defaulting module is UpScaling.dll, which tends to suggest that the original video in the project is being upscaled to something different, either in size or quality.

Here is the MediaInfo file of one clip. All are similar. The rendering format is "Same as first video clip" ; Smart Render is enabled. There is no upscaling of a clip except some zooms with antishaking Mercalli.

Hi

When you uninstalled 2018 check the folder “Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018”
To make sure it has also been removed, if not I would delete that before installing
That will make sure the new install uses a new file.
You can also run the Cleanup tool from here

To install 2018 first rename the 64bit\Ultimate to Ultimate_old
That will cause the program to download the main program again, just in case the first download was corrupt?
Install an older version, deselect the option for Service Pack 3, will install an older release version of the program.

Does that improve things? If no then like Ken I would suspect the actual video files?

The Release Version included SP 2, as a separate install. SP 3 being released on the 10thJuly

Solved.
I unisntalled all the previous VS programs with the Clean Up Tools, deleted all the Corel files (except mines, of course), emptied the temp folders, cleaned the Registry with CCleaner, re-downloaded and reinstalled VS 2018. I rendered again my project and ...it worked !
