exporting images for email-color is different

Post by tbjgreen390 »

Dear All,
I am very sorry to ask what is a dumb question but I am new to Painshop Pro and dslr photography. I got great photos and really love my edits. I saved the images to JPG so I could email some of them out to family members. But the coloring is different in the emailed photos then what I see in my paintshop OR computer! Almost bluish tint. In my program, they look so warm. I read about the color space and checked the color parameters, but I don't know how to fix it. How do I maintain the colors I see in my program with printing these from places like Shutterfly or emailing to family? Thank you, tbjgreen390

If the color is correct inside PSP or when viewing with Windows Explorer, the problem is caused by the email program IMHO.

You may want to check the settings on your monitor. They will affect what you are seeing because the color temperatures and other values can change the actual image and what looks good on an incorrectly set monitor will thus look bad on a correctly set monitor. I generally set my monitor to default, but if you set the colors on yours to be a bit warm, then everyone who views your image will see something quite different. If yours is set to default, then they may have "adjusted" their monitor incorrectly.
Still learning, but here are a few of my favorite shots: https://www.500px.com/ccjr221
