Since there's 130+ pages of posts, I'm sure I could find this information, sooner or later, but, since I need to post to stay in the forum...
I can't remember a version of PSP before the current that didn't have a row of icons immediately below the command line with icons for File, Print and more. If it's possible to get them back now, how? If not, why? As of now - and I'm in my third day of using PSP 2018 - whenever I want to print something or save something, I need to open the "File" command and scroll down to the appropriate command. Waste of time?
What happened to the icons below the commands in PSP 2018?

Welcome to the forum!
You are obviously in the Essentials workspace. It's a cutdown version of the program designed for new users or those wanting to do basic things. To get to the full workspace -- and those missing icons -- right click virtually anywhere on screen and in the dropdown menu choose Workspace > Complete.

Or you could also be in Edit mode with the Standard toolbar turned off. Try View > Toolbars and make sure Standard is ticked.
This also apples in Essentials mode if you want that toolbar to be there. Apparently default Essentials is to have that turned off.

Turns out all I needed to do was click the "Complete" button on the opening page! Although, I must admit it took the clues from both of the answering posts to get me looking.
Thanks

Re: What happened to the icons below the commands in PSP 201
I've said it before and I'll say it again. IMHO Corel's decision to add the Essentials option - and particularly to make it the default - is just another example of Corel programmers having too much time on their hands and using it to add or change stuff for the worse. And considering that Essentials is supposed to make it "easier" for new PSP users, removing icons by default in Essentials is truly an example of how poorly thought out this implementation was. One reason Apple products became so popular years ago was largely because of its use of icons to simplify navigation. Leave it to someone at Corel to decide otherwise, eh?hartpaul wrote:Or you could also be in Edit mode with the Standard toolbar turned off. Try View > Toolbars and make sure Standard is ticked.
