Move Sample WMV files from V2 to VS2018

Post by RickMen »

There are some sample wmv clips that came with V2 that I can't find in VS2018. Can I move these sample clips from V2 to VS2018? If so, how?

Thanks.

Do you mean VS X2 (which was really 12) or are you really talking about V2?

V2 is positively ancient -- 18 or 19 years ago. And I'm not sure that wmv had even been invented then. Certainly my first version of VS (which was 7) never had wmv samples... Can you at least describe which wmv samples you are talking about?

Sorry I meant VS X2. Its the countdown wmv clips (5,4,3,...) that you would put as a prelude to a clip.

Hi

The clips are probably saved to the Samples folder within the installation files.
First from the library, right click the clip, is there an option to Locate on Computer

If no look in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X2\Samples
I do not have X2 installed but I think that will be the location.

Copy those to a safe location on your hard drive, they will disappear when uninstalling X2
Now import / insert to the 2018 media library, I would create a new library folder for those clips.

For X10 one countdown is called SP-V12.wmv, should be the same for 2018??

I have the countdown .wmv files in my library - they were installed when I installed VS2018

mine are located in - -- C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018\Samples\Video -- try looking there and then just import them to your samples library
