2 annoyances on first impression

Post by asik1 »

I just install the trial for a spin.

1- welcome screen is too large (on my screen), and no way to set a default not to have it on launch.
2- On my system, I don't have animation preview. only blank, I don't know why and no settings to check.
3- so I have to render each test, but each time it defaulted to the lowest resolution of 320X240.
why the hell it can't keep the last rendered setting??
4- It must have a defocus/blur option for the animated background, even only as low-mid-high setting

Hi

We are sorry to know you did not have a good experience with the first impression of PhotoMirage. In fact, Corel spent a lot of effort for PhotoMirage and we have high confidence in our application quality. Thus, the issue you mentioned does really surprise us. If you don't mind, can you share your system configuration which includes monitor resolution for reference? At least, we want to know

- CPU
- RAM
- VGA
- Resolution
- OS

Q1: Both preview and export file cannot get a normal output?
Q2: What kind of output format you encountered the problem? WMV, MP4 or GIF?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers

I downloaded the trial version and did a simple test and both preview and export worked fine. Had no problem setting the output format to mp4, 1920x1080.
I agree with asik that there should be an option to disable the Welcome screen on startup
I have not gotten the "Pan" to work as yet but have not experimented with it very much.

Thank you josephlin, my system listed on the right.
My screen is 19" 4:3...
I will make my self clearer, I was able to render to HD but each time I had to set it to HD
every time I went from edit to share I got this
320.jpg
And this is totally wrong, how come in 2018 a default setting is so low, and even when correctly set by the user it will revert back to that on the next render.

I see great potential to this product for video,
I understand you will add filters options(some time in the future), blur is the most important.
Without blur this photomirage will straggle to "work" as a 2 planes perspective tool, and that's what we want.
I have more cool suggestions and more annoyances I didn't list.
Asik.

LIke asik I also have a problem with the export settings reverting to some "default" setting. For me it is 720x480, mp4, medium quality, and 25fps.
Saving the project file does not save the project setting for export

And what about GIF animation export, what quality you get at your tests.

with gif one can set only resolution and FPS,
the result is 8 bit.
