Problem Moving Text

Post by angelpie »

Hi,
I'm new to PSP 2018 and chose it because it was most like my beloved PSP 8.1, which doesn't work on Windows 10.

I added text to an image, and it showed up as a selection, same as usual, but I can't move the text. I tried the pick tool, but it is just creating another copy of the text on top of the original selected text.

Can someone tell me why I can't just drag the original selected text, and how to stop this shadowing?

Thank you.

Do you have 'create as selection' selected in the drop down?

I tried it with floating and selection, and the only way I could get it to move was to select the layer and use the move tool. I can't just drag it like I used to be able to when it was floating. This is very aggravating. Why would they change this and make it so complicated?

Why aren't you using Create as Vector? Vector objects don't suffer from the type of degradation - such as jaggies - the way non-vector objects/text to, particularly evident when resizing.
