In manage tab, click on the info button near bottom right of row of button choices. Then in the Info panel select the General tab.
Now when you click on an image it will show the disk size and teh picture pixel size.

I believe Linda Lou was hoping to be able to see her desired information when hovering over the thumbnail without having to have the Info palette open or having to open it from hiding. I don't believe you can change the information you see when hovering over the thumbnail.

However, seeing the image name is easier. Just go to Preferences>General Program Preferences>Manage and tick the box to show file names with thumbnail images. That will show the image file name under the thumbnail.

Thank you, both. @hartpaul, that helps a bit, but yes, I like to do what JoeB mentioned. @Joe I already had Filename selected, but it's image size that I like to compare as I work with various images within the same project. At this point I have to open them (or view in Windows Explorer) to know if they will fit or will need to be resized for the area that I need to cover. It would be nice if that option could be included in the 2019 version.

I am not really sure what you are trying to do and what you require.
I gather that you have a Lenovo ThinkPad T480s laptop .
Your initial concern in your first post was that of File associations and that you could not make pspimage checkbox in PSP2018 's File Format Asssociations remain ticked. Also that you could not preview a folder in Documents containing PspTube files .
You seem to have believed that having that association would allow you to see those files.

Wrong - I have no files associated with PSP 2018 in that File Format Associations , yet I can see most of the PspTube files in Windows 10 version 1607 's File Explorer, PSP2018 Organiser (Edit mode and Manage mode) also when the tube tool is selected all tubes can be seen in the tool drop down listing.

If I go to the tube folder in Documents and right click on a tube and select properties it says it opens in CorelPaintShop Pro 20.
This means that double clicking a tube will open PSP 2018 and show that tube as an image on a transparent raster layer

Jasc PSP8.0 - likewise I have no files associated with that version of the program. Again I can see all tubes in the drop down listing with the Tube tool chosen.

In you second posting you mentioned OneDrive - I have never used OneDrive and doubt I ever will with any of my files, preferring the much larger space available on USB portable hard drives (2 TB for about A$100) they can be carried around with my laptop and connected even in areas where I have no internet access. It also appears that after disconnecting OneDrive the viewing of PSP tubes and also pspimage files is now working.

I suspect that on Windows 7, 8 computers the setting of associations needed to be done in PSP using the File Format Associations.
In Windows 10, on installation of PSP, the PSP only files are automatically associated and not recorded in the PSP File Format Associations.

In JascPSP8, Corel X2, X3 and 2018 I can access the File Format Associations dialog and all file types boxes are blank (unticked) . In Corel PSP x4-X9 I get a Windows message to use settings to change associations.
W10FilleacssociationPSP.jpg
So your problem with the disappearing check mark in File Format Associations is irrelevant.
LindaLou: Hmmm.... I also noticed that using Explorer, Documents>Corel PaintShop Pro >2018 is showing empty.
Doesn't 2018 come with any default tubes?
Any files in Documents are for the user installed created files - brushes tubes frames etc, The ones installed with PSP program have a different location.
do: File > Preferences > File Locations to see those locations.
Or in the tube drop down list the second button along the top will show the locations when you click it. The third button allows you to choose text, large thumbnails and small thumbnails.

Now this is the puzzling part for me-
but it's image size that I like to compare as I work with various images within the same project. At this point I have to open them (or view in Windows Explorer) to know if they will fit or will need to be resized for the area that I need to cover. It would be nice if that option could be included in the 2019 version.
Are you still talking about tubes here?
The picture tube images can be a single image with a little extra transparent spacing, a multi tube image where you have many images perhaps flowers with different sizes and here you have a pixel size for the whole image and separate pixel sizes for each smaller image
floral1.jpg
eg this has a size of 750 x 500 pixels, while two of the smaller images there have different pixel sizes, shown below
image sizes.jpg
So which pixel size would you want a mouseover to show.

Also are you applying the tube images from withing the Tube tool when you can also use some scaling there to vary the size?

Are you still talking about tubes here?
No, these are picture images that I have already created that are similar (.jpg or.png) - a large file and a smaller file. Therefore, when using Manage, I see two identical images with similar filenames. (Ex. Flower1 and Flower2) I know they are different sizes, but file size or pixel size does not show until I open them.

As far as the tubes, I was just curious. The tube dropdown list in v.2018 appear to be the tubes from older versions of PSP on the computer. Those are in locations that I've directed PSP to. Perhaps 2018 has duplicates so they don't show or there are so few that I haven't noticed them. Tubes for 2018 are listed as being in Program Data, a hidden folder on Windows 10. Each folder in that directory has files with old Jasc PSP icons on them and very old dates. I do not see any that look to be 2018. That's ok, though. I can create some more to add to the Corel folder in Documents or in my Documents/All Other Tubes.

Just a thought for a workaround; since you are creating the files, why not incorporate a file size indicator into the naming convention?
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Further to @Kathy_9's suggestion, if the exact pixel dimensions are important then that indicator would have to give actual pixel dimensions. But if it only matters that one image is large and the other small, the indicators could simply be an L or an S.

I guess having the pixel size available a mouse over in PSP has not been a problem for me because I open the folders in Windows explorer in Large thumbnail mode. There I can see jpg, png , tif, bmp and when mousing over I see the disk size as well as the pixel dimensions. I rarely use Manage mode or even the Organiser as Explorer shows all I need to know. What the image looks like and its pixel sizes.

Hi all,
Yes, I've been doing that for a while on new images, but I have so many from my days going back to PSP 7 Anniversary Edition. One of these days I'll get around to renaming them as I use them. :D

At the rate I'm going by the time I get 2018 adjusted to my liking (and learn where everything is) 2019 or 2020 will be out.
Thank you for all the help that you have given me over the last 5 months to get me acquainted with the 2018 edition.
