Dear Kathy_9 I am new to forum wanted to say hello and ask if you possibly contact someone who works for COREL and see if they could do some benchmarks tests with graphics cards to see what the speed increase a purchaser could expect from upgrading their GPU to see if it would be worth. I have a EVGA 980TI and I did see an increase in a few area's. Just wondering if a say 1080TI card would help more, I also am a gamer so card serves multiple purposes.
The programs i am interested in are COREL DRAW 2019 COREL PAINTER 2019 COREL PAINT-SHOP 2018 and how many CPU cores do the programs max at using
Thanks again
Stance

Hello Stance and welcome to the forum.
This is a user to user board and Corel personnel occasionally visit and read posts; however, there is no guarantee they will see this post.
You might want to post your question on their Facebook page since I think it will get more attention there.

Re: PaintShop 2018 Painter 2019
PSP and Painter do not support GPU acceleration, although they should Only Aftershot Pro has GPU support.
So for the two programs you mentioned, the type of graphics card you have will have no effect.
Hardware that will improve performance for PSP and Painter are the CPU and RAM., and an SSD drive.

Re: PaintShop 2018 Painter 2019
Topaz has gone down the GPU path with their newer software. They say it's the way of the future!!
Well if it is the way of the future then users of laptops will be in for an interesting time as most laptops can't change/upgrade the GPU.
I hope for everyone's sake Corel don't follow Topaz.
