Hi,
I am trying to use the rotation tool in the pan and zoom setting but am having a problem with it inserting a complete rotation.
The clips I am using it on have some small "wobbles" at times as I am filming out of a moving vehicle on a rough road. By zooming in I can eliminate a lot of the movement and by using the rotation handles with "on the Fly" and "ease in" it shows it as being smooth for what I want. The problem is that occasionally it introduces a full 360 degree rotation which I do not want. I can enter more key frames to get rid of this rotation but it is almost every frame that would need it.
Not sure if I am doing something wrong so can anyone help.
Thanks Mike

Try using the Mercalli FX to fix the wobbles.

Thanks,
I have tried that but I get a couple of extreme movements that the rotation tool seems to take out and Mercalli cannot.

I for one, don't understand what you are doing precisely, so I can't help. Would you create a project with a small sample clip of your video with the filters you are using and share the project package in a cloud drive so more forum members can download it and try to help you?

Re: Rotation in new pan and zoom in 2018
Hi
After a few tests there does seem to be a problem in applying rotation.
If I open Pan and Zoom and apply rotation to the first frame it is also applied to the last, so no rotation, just static.
If I apply 360 rotation to last keyframe only then an extra keyframe is added to the left of last frame (this may be associated with EaseIn?) that seems to allow rotation to be set. But it does take a few attempts to set a desired effect.
