Video File Gets Truncated When Imported for timeline

Post by mirmar8 »

I have a file over 5GB in size and 1 hour and 40 minutes long (a soccer match). When I click on the file to import it into VS X8, it gets truncated to about 20 minutes. I don't know why . BTW, I have tried to upgrade to 2018 Ultimate but have had problems getting that software to work -- I've contacted Corel tech support. In the meantime, I went back to X8. Any help would be appreciated.

I am guessing the file is corrupted. Can you play the video in Windows Media Player, or VLC? Use Mediainfo to get the details of the video file.
