Re: 3D default title not showing in editor window
Hi Kenneth
I dont think you are doing anything wrong but Make sure the timeline clip is selected.
Immediately above the timelines are the tool icons, if you select the T3D does that open the 3D Title Editor
It will also show on the task bar as 3D, typically a blue icon.
Have you tried resetting the program by re-naming the 21.0 folder, ask how if you are unsure.

Re: 3D default title not showing in editor window
After clicking the T3D button the timeline clip in title 1 line says 3D tiltle and has a yellow surround on a green background .The VS preview window says 3D text in a white 2D form. There is a message to say that the 3D Editor is running, please close to continue editing-I guess this means if I want to edit in VS.
Regular presets are showing in the left panel.I cant access 3D titles from the drop down arrow.Clicking the blue task bar icon opens the editor. The text settings box shows 3D text but there is only the x+y lines in the editor window.Should it be required to reset I do not know how to.
Closed editor, dragged preset to Title 1,”3D Text" shows in VS preview window, double clicked the title line clip and get the same result and message as before

Re: 3D default title not showing in editor window
Hi Kenneth
The message to close the editor, as my image in earlier post is ok.
Once we open the 3D editor the main program is disabled
To use video studio again we must close 3DT editor
Are you having any problems when using 3DTE

Re: 3D default title not showing in editor window
I'm slightly confused here. You (Ken) seem to be using both the preset titles which have come with VS for many years, plus the new 3D Title Editor. If my assumption is correct, then don't use the presets or you will end up with two titles in the same space.
Instead, with your video in the main timeline and nothing in the Title track, simply click the blue T3D button. When I do that I get the white "3d Title" against a green background clip in the Title 1 track and white "3D Title" on the preview screen. The 3D Title Editor does not -- at least in my case -- open for a few seconds, but eventually does. If it does not, then look at your computer task bar to see if it is there (blue button with 3D on it). You simply left click it to get it superimposed over VS.
The message saying that the 3D Editor is running, please close to continue editing, remains there while I am editing the title in the 3D Title Editor. And when you close the 3D Title Editor and go back to VS, the message disappears.
But with the 3D Title Editor window open, I see in its preview screen the video in my main timeline plus the big white 3D Title over it. Up in the top right corner are the Settings, the first being Text Settings. Under that is a dark grey window with, in lighter grey, the words "3D Text". I highlight that and delete it by inserting my own words. Then I use the other Settings to customize how my title will look back in VS. When satisfied, I close the 3D Title Editor and am back in VS with the new, edited title appearing on screen.

Re: 3D default title not showing in editor window
OK. Well, while in 3D Title Editor, go over to the top left hand corner where you should see "Presets". The first listed is Objects. Left click that and Test Objects should appear, accompanied to its right by a set of boxes containing coloured and bevelled text all saying "3D Text". Click on one of them. It should appear in the preview screen as well as in the Text Settings box in the top right. If it does, then you can proceed to edit it. Does that work for you?

do you see this panel, there have been some issues where the panel does not show?
If you do not see this click the 3D icon on tool bar.

Re: 3D default title not showing in editor window
Hi Kenneth
Now you know better than that as to give up, beaten again, never.
Ok first a typo, the text in 12 should read “Clicked Text Objects>
Not Test Objects
Not a problem though
I think a re-install of the program is on the cards
Close Video Studio
First I would try re-installing the 3DTE
Go to Program and Features and uninstall Video Studio 3D Title Editor
3DTE will disappear from Video Studio.
with Video Studio closed
Then install the plugin again from your download files
\64bit\Ultimate\Setup\RunTime\
Double click the file
VideoStudio_3D_Title_Editor.exe
There should be no problems in installing that file.
Run Video Studio and the 3DT should be available from the timelines tool bar
Does it work, is there any improvement.?
If no I would like you to uninstall the full program using the VS2018_Cleanup tool, download from here
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59847
That should also uninstall 3DTE
Now install the program again from the Web Installer, deselect all options other than the Main program, that includes service pack 2.
Installing the main program should also install 3DT.

Re: 3D default title not showing in editor window
Hi Kenneth
Follow that up with a reset of the program by renaming the 21.0 folder to 21.0_old
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\21.0
And if that does not work all I can suggest is a clean install using the Cleanup tool to uninstall the program.
