How to add the Extra Download package + UI question

Hello
My name is Menno, live in the Netherlands and am a user of VideoStudio from X5, X9 and now 2018.
I did choose, download and install the free "Image Package" (don't know the English name for it.) The description states that it installs 50 extra backgrounds, an extended package of titles and fonts, and so on. Also the description states (in Dutch) the content will be added in afolder of my library. But when I check the My Library (on the right of the home screen of VideoStudio), all I see is the Image Package with in grey the notice "Your property" and when I click that, the download and install part of the Image Package appears again? Tried installing multiple times but nothing changes.
For examples the Titles.There still are 34 Titles to choose from (see added screenshot), no promised extra Titles are added. In X9 there were lots more titles to choose from after installing the free packages. I did search the C:\Users\***\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate but could not find anything. So, how to add the extra Titles?

And question on UI: it all is in black/blue. For me that is very hard to look at, the combination is not good for my eyes. I am sure it is a simple setting somewhere but I can not find the setting to change the UI color. Any info on that?

Apologies in the delay of our reply here:-

I have just installed the Title packs and it appears the files are for CVSX10 not 2018
You should contact Corel Support to report this issue.
The X10 and 2018 files are identical, I can make then available for you if you wish.
I can save them to a VS Project, you open in 2018 and drag to your T library.

If you have any other version of Video Studio you could do that.

From the welcome screen there are 4 packs available for download
Each will be saved to a folder on our desktop

Graphic Pack
Video Template Bundle 1
Video Template Bundle 2
Video Template Bundle 3

The Graphics Pack contains 30 EXE files, each need to be individually installed by double clicking the EXE file
BG01 for example will save approx. 5 images to:-
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPContent\Decoration
These will be Jpeg, some are png.
Any image populating these folders will show in the Graphics Library, the Flower icon above FX.
BG == Backgrounds
CP == Colour Pattern
FR == Frames
OB == Objects

The DoMore_Title_01.exe (5 off) install titles clips to the Titles library.
However there is a discrepancy in the naming of these 5 some install Fonts saved to the windows Font folder.
I believe only 2 of these are actual Titles, each adding 10 title clips to the library, by default has 34, after install should be 54 title clips.


The Video Template Bundle 1
Install Instant projects to be saved to
C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate
24 templates .exe
The Bonus.exe saves files to
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\Bonus Content
Audio, Image and Video clips to be manually imported to the Media Library.

Video Template Bundle 2
Contains 30 .exe files all installed as template 1

Contains another 30 .exe files

Thanks Trevor - it would be very helpful if you can upload a VS Project File containing the additional titles for import into VS2018

Please rename the file by removing .txt

should open using X9 onwards, then drag clips to the T library.

I did not understand all the other things you wrote though: there is a download but it is not saved on the desktop, it is executed right away after the download. There is a big green button with Install on it. When clicked, the download starts and after that it is installed. At least, it says that it is installed yet nothing is visible on what is installed?
And for the Bonus content: you mean that we have to manually add it? When I installed 2018, everything was installed then.

Very very confused here on what i installed now or not. Previous versions of VideoStudio were way more simple and logical with the extra things ....
And yes, will contact support for sure .....

I'm really perplexed as to why they didn't just integrate this into the installer and allow people to simply check whether or not they want to install the Packs, and then automate it.

I did download them once, but decided to just delete the files when I seen the flood of executable installers it added on my desktop.

This is not user friendly, at all. Even for a computer literate person, the content it downloads gives you absolutely no guidance as to what these installers contain and where they save their content.

Hi iNate

Well it is an improvement of sorts that we can download the entire package
Previous versions only allowed us to download and install one at a time from the Corel Guide.
That was a bit of a pain.
I can envisage that Corel will continue to improve things and make it possible to install the full packages in one go.
However there is a draw back that we cannot see what we are installing and that for me is a big problem.
There may be a workround by installing the packs, renaming the save location folders so the new templates are not loaded to VS library.
We could then view each of the templates to choose which we would like to use in VS.

As I say its not ideal but better than before. I think?????
