animating an image

Post by delboy007 »

If I had a ball and wanted to make it move from right to left a friend of mine has software where he says he places the ball on frame one and then on the last frame at the position he wants it to stop . He then tells the software to fill in all the frames inbetween so it looks like the ball is moving.

Can that be done with videostudio ?

Yes it can -- check out "Custom Motion" - in Videostudio you can also tell it to go any where else on screen as well

thanks for the prompt reply and I will check it out. Would I for example also be able to make the ball spin while it was moving ?

Yes you can apply rotation at the same time - but you would need a 3D image to rotate around a vertical axis

Excellent thanks. Just to push my optimism to its boundary, I don't suppose for example you could make a person appear to be walking ?

No - thats going to far - but if you have a video of that person walking against a plain background - green or blue usually - although any colour not in the main image can be used -- you could overlay that against you own background

I thought that might be pushing it. it is vector art someone did for me so it I assume it would have to be done the old fashioned way of altering the image loads of times. Thanks again for you help
