Slideshow layer to top with video layer in background
I just downloaded VideoStudio 2018 Ultimate and am a definite newbie in regards to video software. I have put together several done slideshows in the past using various programs and now want to expand and use a video editing program for a little more flexibility. What I want to do is create slideshows that have a video background layer that will allow a slideshow layer that plays with preset times and transitions as is setup. The photos will be sized to allow the viewer to see the video slowly playing in the background. This is the same affect as watching national or local news on tv where ther is a behind the scenes very slow moving video playback around the main viewing area. I believe this will be possible to do with this program. Is it? Is this possible? Any samples or tutorials of this that you have created? Thanks for any help related to this or something similar that you might think of. Janners

Hi - just put your video in the top track -- then add all your photos in the first overlay track - first one down below the video track - use the orange handle on the image to resize and then move the pictures to where ever you want them then add transitions or whatever between them
