PSP 7 question

Post by thegrindre »

Hi all,
Say, can anyone tell me how to convert a pic to gray scale??? I, for the life of me, can't find anywhere to do it in Paint Shop Pro 7.

Many thanks,

I still have PSP7 on my machine, alongside PSP 2018. I initially kept PSP7 for icon work, but for photos, I recommend the latest PSP.

Well, in answer to your PSP7 question, look for the Menu bar at the very top of the PSP7 window. The 6th item on it is the Colors menu. Click on that, and get a drop-down menu. The 3d item down converts the image to grayscale.

I see you found it. Pretty easy to find if you go looking for it.

Actually, the reason I couldn't find it was cuz I had already imported a gray scale pic and the option was grayed out. LOL

That is funny!

I have enjoyed the Grayscale option literally for decades. I forget when I first encountered it, but it was in the 1990's. Welcome to PSP7. But do try PSP 2018, or wait for PSP 2019. PSP 2018 is great.
