I just have finished setting up my new i7- 8700 computer and I ran a speed test with it. I took a 2.7 gig mpg file and placed
it in both computers, a i7- 4790K and my new i7- 8700. All settings were identical in both VS's. The 4790 got off to a faster start being at about 9% completion when the 8700 was about 4% completion. As time wore on, the 8700 showed its stuff finishing in 1: 45 min to the 4790K 10:06 min. So, if you are looking for an excellent computer for VS, this is it.
